About Narcotics Anonymous
The Fellowship
We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean.
The international Narcotics Anonymous fellowship was born in 1953.
Today, approximately 72,215 NA meetings are held worldwide, and NA materials and information are available in 105 languages. NA meetings are held regularly in Poland.
Purpose
Each group of the Narcotics Anonymous fellowship has only one primary purpose — to provide information about the possibility of recovery to those who are still using drugs and suffering from addiction.
For over 60 years, the experience of Narcotics Anonymous has confirmed — any addict, absolutely any addict, can stop using drugs, lose the desire to use, and find a new way of life.
Membership
The only requirement for membership in Narcotics Anonymous is the desire to stop using.
We are not part of other organizations, we pay no initiation or membership fees, we sign no pledges, and we make no promises to anyone.
We are not affiliated with any political, religious, or law enforcement organization; no one ever oversees us.
Participation in NA is free!
Each of us has already paid for the right to recover with our own pain.
Meetings
Anyone can join us, regardless of age, nationality, sexual orientation, beliefs, religion, or lack thereof.
NA meetings welcome any addict for whom drugs have become a serious problem.
It doesn't matter where we came from, what upbringing we received, or what we do — the doors of NA are open to us.
Program
The help of one addict to another has incomparable therapeutic value.
We are a non-professional fellowship and use everything that helps other addicts recover, those who with the help of Narcotics Anonymous have learned to live without drugs.
Our recovery has become possible thanks to principles known as the Twelve Steps of Narcotics Anonymous.
Religion
Narcotics Anonymous is a spiritual, but not religious, program. The right to a God of one's own understanding is common to all; there are no tricks hidden in it.
This means that addicts come to NA with various religious beliefs and representing a wide range of denominations, as well as atheists and agnostics.
